A Genuine Work of Art

This perfume is an actual art piece. The bottle itself is pretty, sure, but the fragrance within is something else. It's like nothing I've ever smelled before, and I strongly doubt I will EVER smell anything like it.

I blind-bought this for a friend of mine who's been on the hunt for the best basil perfume. He was willing to try anything (Demeter Basil very much included!) but when Thé Basilic arrived I had a hunch it was the one... and I was right. I gave it to him and he described it thus: "It's everything I would want a basil perfume to be." He further explained that what differentiates this perfume from others is that it smells of the whole plant -- the earth beneath, the roots, the stalk, the leaves, all of it. And I agree. If you are looking for a REAL basil scent in your perfume, look no further. Conversely, if you don't like basil, STEER CLEAR.

But on top of that, this perfume is crafted well. It's refreshing on the skin but with so much depth. It lasts a decent while and evolves such that the other notes can come out a bit, especially the tea, but do expect that you're gonna be getting a lot of earthy basil the whole way through. It is, in short, BEAUTIFUL. I didn't know when I would ever have a reason to wear it (it was a gift for a friend anyway), but I still found the scent truly compelling.

If you have a perfume enthusiast friend in your life who loves basil, and they don't have Molinard's Thé Basilic in their collection yet, do your friendship with them a massive favor and buy them this. 10/10 for basil lovers!
