Perfect fall scent

This opens with an almost dusty warm cardamom, backed by hints of grapefruit and coriander. It reminds me of a library shelf of old books. It dries down to a beautifully powdery cardamom and the smoky vetiver and deep, dark oud come in at the dry down. The longer you wear it, the smokier it gets, as if you've chosen a tome to read next to the fireplace until the fire dwindles to ashes. I wore this for four days straight after it arrived, and sniffed it so closely so often that I made myself temporarily noseblind to cardamom. I'm eagerly waiting for fall to wear it again.

The presentation of this is absolutely stunning. The two layers of boxes it comes in are worthy of display themselves. The bottle is full of texture and detail.

This was a blind buy when my husband asked me to pick a perfume for our anniversary. He tried to persuade me to skip the order of travel sprays in little lipstick-like bottles, and eventually he admitted it was because he thought they were ugly and he wanted me to order something pretty. So I spent the next couple days researching my wishlist until I found a couple contenders that had bottles that were just as lovely as the scent. I had narrowed it down to two scents and couldn't decide so I asked my husband to choose and he was most intrigued by this one. He has stolen a few sprays for himself since I've gotten it, including as a room spray to scent the bathroom for a relaxing bath.. This reads perfectly unisex to me.
