Tokyo Blue

Tokyo Blue is a herbal, rather botanical scent, with powdery florals and a surprising brightness. It opens up with a strong galbanum mixed with zesty bergamot. It is a lovely, sophisticated interplay between tart fruit and bitter herbs. The combination does give me a citronella type smell initially, but I find that enjoyable. There is also a fragrant but clean ylang ylang note. Underneath lies a bed of soft, lightly sweet and powdery violet flowers and honeyed yellow mimosa, with the orris root adding a touch of creaminess. The dry down is a very pleasant, natural, mildly sweet mimosa with soapy musks, a touch of cedarwood, and wisps of the brightness from the opening.

It projects moderately for around 3-4 hours and lasts on skin for around 10 hours. Good performance on me.

Overall, not your typical "blue" fragrance as it leans more powdery and floral. I think this is unisex and wearable by anyone. A very relaxed, elegant, and uplifting scent perfect for any time of year really - quite a versatile workhorse that would be great for work, and day time dates and events. It is bright and fresh enough for hot weather, but the powdery notes work well in cooler weather as well. A very interesting scent that I enjoy and find to be quite unique. 9/10 for me.
