Clean up, clean up, everybody clean up!

Holy shit has this windstorm of content has done…wonders for my maximalist approach to life!

Une Fleur de Cassie is disorganized in the best way. A yellow floral that is, what I now know to be, an extremely successful re-creation of one of the best perfumes of all time: Farnesiana. Read my review of it !

The esníf:

Top: billowing mimosa and an odd green note. There’s a succulent nuttiness and powderiness to mimosa and black currant which are a bit jammier and heavier than her counterpart Farnesia, which is stronger but more arid. This is a touch too sweet and up close it’s a bit gnarly in terms of the scent— the sillage is intensely beautiful, likely why those scent tubes in Barney’s were there back in 2010.

Heart: dusty florals, a tiny bumblebee covered in pollen squirms around a stamen, getting ever bit of pollen out of the flower garden. I’ll be honest, the rose and jasmine are not featured. This is more of a mimosa soliflore but has the vibe of Farnesiana. Yellow florals are not popular! Why it gotta be WHITE?

Base: meh, muted nutty floral musk

Overall I love this but it’s hard to wear sometimes like a Roudnitska. The sheer amount of natural mimosa in that fragrance is insane, and for that reason it wins the award for best mimosa of all time.
