I’ve been wanting to try some of the popular spicy vanillas right now and I’m starting with this one. The major note I get is a strong pepper right up front that’s joined by the cardamom and cacao to create a vanilla that’s on the savoury side. There’s a little sweetness hiding underneath with the vanilla and rum notes, but it’s definitely far down there. I like but don’t love it. It’s a nicely constructed scent though.
