You know, I always thought of myself as a vanilla hater. But sometimes I pick my perfumes without looking at the labels- I dig through my pile of samples and I sniff the nozzles. Once I find something that feels right, I try it without looking. This is a very pleasant surprise. Not only does it have the resinous depth that I adore and almost a spicy incense note, there's also something very camphorous about the vanilla. Eucalyptus in the backbone? Either way, I'm in love.
Edit: I did end up getting sick of this about six hours later. Longevity is impressive, but my tolerance for vanilla remains low. 😅 Score revised down to 4/5 for cloying.
