My first layering test with the Guerlain extraits. This is citrus vanilla but in a totally non-gourmand way. Bitter citrus and woody vanilla. Super smooth and expensive smelling. Not at all like the lemon pound cake vibe you get from something like Nishane Ani X. I again find it interesting how these extraits just consistently radiate noticeably for hours on end yet don’t really smell super strong up close on the skin.

    I love to experiment layering with these too. Despite them lasting forever they never become “too much” or overpowering.

      Do you have any favorite combinations? I’m eventually going to try all 15. I’m certainly interested to see how my mix of all six turns out, but I want to wait a few more days before I test that since I just mixed it last week.

      I enjoyed the vanilla with the iris but also liked putting the vanilla under some woody scents like Tam Dao
