Trying this for a quick run to the store

(Quick review below) Husband is having back pain and needed me to run into the store for supplies. Why would they put the back pain items on the bottom shelf? Got a sniff of the opening, caught tiny sniffs in the store (my immune system sucks so I wear a mask) and gave it another sniff when I got home before washing it off. It's a free sample and I feel a duty to test it even with a tonka bean sensitivity, but unfortunately I'm losing the ability to judge a scent with prominent tonka bean because I just associate the sweet smooth smell with nausea, sinus inflammation, and a headache now.

That said, it is a very pretty scent. I had hoped the marshmallow and tonka would be less dominant and that it would be a nice light freesia with only hints of the sweet gourmand notes. Instead, I feel the marshmallow and tonka are the most dominant notes and the strawberry and freesia are just enough to make it smell "pink." It smells thick, fluffy, sticky. It's lovely and my husband likes it. He described it as less complex than some of my favorites but pleasant in its simplicity. Despite my profile suggesting I love gourmand perfumes (I suspect this is because I have a lot of fruit and vanilla notes in my collection due to great deals at Ross and Marshalls, not necessarily because I seek them out), gourmands are not my thing. I don't seek out sweet scents so I can't compare it to any others, but this doesn't strike me as a particularly unique one. It's probably a crowd pleaser, particularly for gourmand lovers, but doesn't stand out to me.

I'm back to wearing my home clothes that I sprayed with Splendida Patchouli earlier. The candy-like opening is long gone and I'm left with a soft, clean, dry patchouli and it's a perfect anecdote to the thick gourmand sweetness of Dylan Blush Pink for me.
