Dark, Dank, Smoky, and Narcotic

BeauFort London’s site calls this “chaos in a bottle,” “an alchemist’s Christmas party,” and “a celebration of all things smoked” - which builds a great foundation for what you’ll experience with Vi Et Armis, at least, initially. Oud, tobacco, whisky, tea, frankincense, opium, and despite not being listed in the notes, cannabis. And as far as cannabis goes, specifically the strain, Biscotti, by Stiiizy (which doesn’t smell like Biscotti at all). Maybe they’re both thinking of sipping bitter black tea on a cold, dark day, wrapping your hands around the mug for warmth, and nipping at a flask of whiskey in between. It’s not even Biscotti flower that smells like Vi Et Armis, it’s the smoke from across the room. There’s a distance to them both - physical and emotional. The fragrance feels like solitude. Not necessarily loneliness, but not not that, either. The cold, dark day with your hands wrapped around a hot mug, nipping whiskey, sniffing a blend of tobacco, opium, and frankincense smoke in the air doesn’t feel jovial, even if there’s a chaotic party happening around you; it’s more nihilistic than that.
