Victoria's Secret So In Love

Felt like being a fancy lady in my pajamas today, so I put on this oldie but goodie. One of the very first perfumes I bought with my own money. I still remember that day 😁 (This is the pre-reformulation version. They discontinued it and brought back a different perfume with the same name in 2020).

So In Love is a vintage smelling carnation and rose scent that smells like nothing you'd normally expect to find at Victoria's Secret. A burst of ylang ylang at the opening is followed by powdery roses and spicy carnations drenched in boozy cognac and amber honey. No musks here. It's syrupy, rich, fancy, and elegant. It can give a bit of old lady vibes because of the vintage scent profile, but this old lady has money and is dressed fabulously 💰 💅 It dries down to a slightly soapy, powdery rose that feels like a comfortable second skin.

This is a fairly strong projector with a large scent cloud. It has good longevity as well - I easily get about 8-10 hours out of this.

If you like vintage scent profiles, this is a winner in my book. This is a scent for a confident, polished, grown woman. I would wear this in fall and winter for special events or night time dates. I may be biased because of the nostalgia, but it's an easy 10/10.
