Powdery Boudoir Scent

When it first goes on, I get the spicy and the green and the yellow florals....but eventually this is POW!dery. It's powdery, vintage and nostalgic as the earlier twentieth century formulas were; on my skin it's powdery, then floral, then spice.

But perhaps because it's a dupe and relying on synthetics (although it doesn't smell synthetic) as opposed to the naturals and animal extractions of the OG formula, or because temperature and mood aren't ideal, it's not hitting right for my nose. IFRA has been a sworn enemy of Vol de Nuit (and thus this inspired version of it). There are bits and pieces of it that I enjoy, but it's missing teeth.

I need to wear this again and see if I feel better about it next time.
