Violet Ida

Why are all the “good ones” yanked from the market before their time? Violet Ida came and went before the resurgence of powdery iris perfumes and could have—if it hung around a wee bit longer—enjoyed immense popularity. But as fate would have it, the moment I discovered this gem it was discontinued. Violet Ida is really more of an iris perfume with candied violets bracketing the powdery, fluffy, iris goodness. It’s impossibly soft and light but maintains interest throughout the wear. A sheer veil of iris/violets filling a comforting scent bubble. Addictive. Dries down to a delicately sweet musk. Thankfully I was able to procure a bottle from Japan because I simply could not be without this stunning creation.
