      Youthful in the best way, like being still the age where staying out to 3am doesn’t spell disaster for the next day. Boozy in a clear liquors-only, “we’re just going outside for a sec”🚬 at a club way. There’s something slightly mentholated about it. Not a gourmand, to my nose, despite what the notes suggest. But your friend who only wears gourmands is with you on the sidewalk while your ears retune themselves from the clamor of the dance floor.

      Fragrant Heavens I’ve had forever, long before I became interested in learning perfumery. It is not a technical book whatsoever, even in terms of aromatherapy. But it is a lovely resource to learn about botanical oils and their cultural, magical, and spiritual connections. The other was suggested by Kamila Aubre in the botanical perfumery course of hers that I’m taking (Substack). It is more of a technical reference, I think the first of its kind, for natural perfumery and culinary flavorings.

      I’ve been on a deep dive all summer while on vacation (I teach music and direct arts programming during the academic year). Maybe I’ll figure out how to make a book/resource list on this app!

      that would be so amazing! as an artist myself I’ve been dabbling in perfumery mostly online / through courses. I mean to make a pilgrimage to grasse next year…
