   I live in a country with distinct seasons, so weather definitely plays a big part in my choice of wear. I’m very much a seasonal wearer, I like to create scent memories with the seasons (and places, events and moods). But sometimes the event informs the wear more than the weather. Sometimes (because it rains A LOT in Ireland), I’ll wear a summer perfume with holiday scent memories so at least I can be on a sunny Greek island or the Amalfi Coast in my mind even if the sun hasn’t got the memo that it’s summer. I definitely prefer fresh fruity florals in the heat and dark, spicy woods in the cool weather.

      I agree completely. Weather can really dictate the fragrance choice, but the event can definitely take more of a priority over weather. I have a friend who strongly supports wearing WHATEVER you want WHENEVER you want (heavy ouds are fine with him in the summer!) but I like to really associate scents with seasons and places as well, so I try to be a little conscientious with it.
