A fruity rollercoaster

The opening is a slightly sharp and glorious citrus bomb, with the orange being the most dominant note. I think I can also pick up the bergamot and even the lemon, but that might be bias. For the first few minutes you get that fresh citrusy effervescence, and then it goes away almost completely.

That is all fine because then the melon steps up and the vanilla pierces through from the base, resulting in a smoother, warmer and sweeter fruity scent. The initial Sospiroesque effervescent fruity whiffs are slowly replaced by a warm pulsating juicy aura, almost tropical to my nose. I imagine at that point, the projection goes down a notch as well. The sillage is definitely above average, as the scent bubble is quite potent, though I haven't had any external feedback to confirm that.

Eventually, in about two weeks, the fruitiness subsides, and you're left with the musky and woody vanilla base. At that point, the scent becomes even heavier, sweeter and warmer, and it clings to my skin for dear life.

To me, the fragrance is beautiful in every stage but I can imagine being too heavy for some people. Overall, it has a bold scent profile that's more suited for the occasional, rather than daily wear. It could work well for dates, if you give the sweet base enough time to shine through.
