ELDO keeps the notes a closely guarded secret, pairing it with a rather pretentious blurb claiming this is what a quintessential woman of Los Angeles smells like. I'm not entirely convinced, but it does have a certain aloof, "I woke up like this" energy.
It opens with sharp greenery - more the bitter leaves of grapefruit than the fruit itself - alongside an equal dose of mint, giving a cool, mentholated lift.
Perhaps it's the white florals that make some people think of cat pee, but they're not especially pungent to me - more of a soft rounding of the mint that turns faintly creamy, growing muskier and more skin-like as it dries down.
It's far from revolutionary, and definitely suits a woman's skin more than my own, but on the hottest days, when you want something light and fresh, it's an easy reach.
