Zouzou

Zouzou is a warm, spicy incense and vanilla scent. This is a big departure from all the powdery neroli and bergamot notes in the discovery set so far. It has the same rich and smooth vanilla from Dans Paris, but instead of being contrasted with green herbs, the warmth is drawn out with a reserved, slightly smoky and leathery labdanum and hints of caramel, tobacco, and almond from the Tonka bean. The overall effect is a quietly confident, opulent fragrance with an addictive aroma. It's wonderfully smooth, balanced, and well blended, with the lightest dusting of starchy powder.

This scent has moderate projection for about 3 hours, and lasts on skin over 12 hours for me.

This is a another beautiful Celine rendition of a non-gourmand, unisex vanilla, but warmed with incense and tonka instead of being cooled by fresh herbs. It feels like drinking whiskey in a jazz bar during the fall, with the scent of leather jackets and tobacco smoke in the air. It is understated, but definitely the type of scent to draw someone in closer. A little dark, a little mysterious, but confident and compelling. Another one I enjoy very much from Celine. I give it a 9.5 /10.
