Our experience is so different haha. I could understand dirty nappy, or even slightly barnyard, as I once experienced it in this way too, but never sour or cheesy. Both crazy and wonderful how different all of our olfactories are. To me, it opens with antique wood and lavender-scented baby powder, and slowly morphs into a glassy vanillic amber with a sharp, slightly parched (but very sexy) texture.

Yes. I get the same opening you did, but the drydown is not for me. It's definitely not cheesy like The Night by Frederic Malle for example. That one is straight up moldy cheese. But this one just has a sourness to it. I used to say it was barnyardy but it is barely so. It's like old milk sourness without the milky aspect. Yeah I'm failing hard trying to convey this.

There's a somewhat chemical nature to it - a little hot glue/chlorine-like which I noticed a few times when I first started wearing it, but nowadays it all seems to meld together into something more resembling dry, cracked wood. There's a sweetness to it, that on my skin at least, never really disappears once it gets going.

But to me, it smells divine. It certainly took some getting used to, though. It smelt horrendous when I first sampled it - a dirty-diaper, barnyard, chemical-acetate sort of smell. Well, well, well…
