I totally understand how many don't like this...

But to me, it smells divine. It certainly took some getting used to, though. It smelt horrendous when I first sampled it - a dirty-diaper, barnyard, chemical-acetate sort of smell. Well, well, well… isn’t it a blessing how our noses change? Nowadays, I get a sexy trail of rich, antique wood, made airy by dusky rose and given a certain nostalgia by powdered lavender. The glassy-sweet, vanillic amber that rises through the drydown softens any harshness, and together, they create possibly the most unique scent I’ve ever tried. Don’t even bother testing this on paper - it demands warm skin to bloom.

      An instant love, wowzers. Did you have much experience with oud/oud accords beforehand? It was around 5 years ago for me, and after a history of only designer fragrances, it certainly caught me off guard.

      I am a huge lover of oud+rose combinations. The older I get, the more I appreciate them. I've also noticed that, over the years, I seem to like more and more masculine-leaning scents.

      Yup, instant love for me, as well. One of the first Xerjoff I tried. It was super weird but I was immediately hooked. Though everyone I've showed it to, hates it. 😭
