   Sounds like a highlights reel of the most-often-sniffed perfumes in Taipei too. I smell Fleur de Peau pretty much daily, and Orphéon EDP very often too. They love their musky skin scents in this neck of the woods (even though I feel both Diptyques have outrageously strong performance).

      We have a messaging app called Line out here which has an Apple pay-style function. We tap the perfume we want, scan our Line Pay (1 spray is about 70p I think), and it squirts out the nozzle!

   OMG WILD!!! I read a brief article about these “fragrance vending machines” a month or so ago, and I’m so fascinated by the concept! The only location/experiece the article discussed was a random restaurant in LA; I don’t recall it mentioning other types of venues. A metro station seems like a perfect place for these “vending machines.” When I was reading that article I was racking my brain for ideas re: the best locations. How much does a spray cost? How many sprays per order? Are the fragrances priced differently? Do most of the stations have the same selections, or do they differ among the stations? I’m so jealous you see these in person 😭

      Oh man, love how your passion comes through in this message - trickling through all aspects of your life I'm sure! 😁 I believe each fragrance is the same price - a little under $1 per spray, so someone's making lots of money, but who cares, it's cheap and fun! A decent sized squirt comes out that feels comparable to a normal bottle spray, or perhaps a little more. I've only seen them in one station, but would be surprised if that's the only one.

      $1 a squirt—why the fuck not? 😅 I would die to collect and review data about these. It would be awesome to find a way to track and analyze info that speaks to varying sociological aspects that tie into the psychology of smell. Probably plenty of ways to use them to create consumer profiles as well, which would also be interesting. #nerdstuff

      I wonder how the Taiwanese government would feel about us setting up a microcam tucked away in the metro station with a zoomed focus on the vending machine 😆 I don't know whether it's just because these fragrances linger in the air better than average, or whether it's because they're genuinely the most popular in the Taiwanese market but I smell Orphéon, Fleur de Peau, Another 13 and Thé Noir 29 absolutely everywhere here.
