Revisiting a “Dislike”

Blanche Bête by Liquides ImaginairesLiquides ImaginairesBlanche Bête4.1154 ratings

Decided to retry this one since haven’t touched my sample in at least a year. Sadly, I’m still not a fan. I don’t love indolic white florals and I’m not particularly into laconic scents, so it’s no surprise that I dislike this. It’s rich and complex, and I can see why people like it, but to me it just kind of smells like milk breath 😓

🤣🤣 milk breath is an awesome description! I’m glad you gave it one more go. And sure, the world would be a very boring place if we were all this sane 🤗

Thanks for inspiring me to retry it! Perhaps I’ll try it again in a year or two 😄

There are moments when I like this one. Turn my head one way (something nice) but turn my head the other way and something off, sour emerges. I have a full bottle of this one (duped by the decant I first tried) I need to rehome. It’s just not for me either.

I think I like it better from afar when I just catch a slight whiff or it. Close up, I too get the sour thing!

Revisiting a dislike is never a bad idea! I totally agree with that move.

Yes! I can name maybe 5 fragrances I hated enough that I’ll never open those vials again, but otherwise I really enjoy testing my “dislikes” to see if my tastes have changed

Sometimes our noses change along with ourselves. Something we love years ago may be meh nowadays and vice versa. If you don't like it it's fine, maybe in some years you will or not. Who cares! Congrats on you for giving another chance to the disliked ones

      Yes exactly! 😊
