Black Saffron opens with a fresh zesty yet dry berry blast . Polemo and juniper? There is a brightness to it even as the mild warm soft & smoky leather starts to gently creep out. Here the leather is merely a tease that something lurks beneath, about to reveal itself.

After 3 mins the bright fruity floral comes through beautifully. Bright violet and rose blended with Vetiver . Feels familiar. Aha! There’s Iso e super in this (I’m a long time Molecule 01 stan). It’s runs parallel with a deep raspberry and soft, smoky leather. And I’m hooked!

At the base the wet, juicy raspberry deepens with the leather. Theres soft, slightly ambery powder from the cashermaran but the vetiver stops it leaning too warm and keeps a fresh and bright aspect which is deliciously and intriguingly at odds with the decadent raspberry and smoky leather.

I love this perfume. I cannot stop sniffing myself when i wear it. I was not expecting it to be so floral and weirdly light but still sexy, sensual, deep and moody. It’s a gorgeous blend. I love how the violet and blonde woods come through with the raspberry and polemo. The leather is so soft.

It in dry down, the raspberry is much darker. A little bit sweaty amongst the smoke that honestly makes me feel like a sexy vixen when I wear this.

I said to the other half that he might not like it because of the leather note, the first time I wore this. I sprayed it - his verdict? “Ohhh that’s verrry nice indeed. It’s not really leather at all.. it’s like a sexy, flirty, playful gentle slap to the face with your leather lady gloves”. Get in! Good stuff!
