It’s for someone, but not for me.

I hate yucking peoples yum’s.

This one was a surprising yuck because I tested it on paper a few weeks ago when I got the sample and I really liked it.

But on skin it took a very bad turn for the worst resulting in me being physically sick.

There’s the lovely dewy rose, bright orange and green notes I got on paper, but now it’s accompanied with really strong savoury notes. An overwhelming green pepper and leek salsa served with a side of stagnant marine water.. I’m not the biggest fan of marine scents but I’m also allergic to green peppers, hence the drama llama involuntary emisis event.

The other half doesn’t smell what I’m smelling. He gets a ‘nice, salty rose’ but not the green pepper. So I’m blaming the sympep synthetic? It’s apparently similar to synthetic guaiac wood, which reads unfortunately to me as Tayto Smokey Bacon crisps.

Noses are weird. I’m definitely sensitive to synthetics. It works in my favour sometimes. With Iso E Super I get the most beautiful other worldly purple flower amongst the woods. With ambroxan, the brightest freshness that makes my eyes pop. Today, however, my nose has forsaken me again.

I usually love to wear a perfume fur a full day. Even if it’s not a profile I personally like, I enjoy critiquing a scent as best I can. But this one I had to scrub it off.

On these rare occasions, where a perfume makes me physically sick, I have to leave a one star. But I’m eager to hear reviews of people that love and enjoy this scent.
