Wearing Dear Sky by Ellis Brooklyn

Working my way through the third of my Ellis Brooklyn sample set. This one I suspected I’d like … I’m a sucker for a rhubarb note. I was leery of the strawberry, and wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the melon.

Wearing it was pleasant enough, but I was disappointed. When tuberose is in a scent, it easily overwhelms it for me, unless VERY carefully balanced. Barely a whisper of the rhubarb, the strawberry was pleasant (leaf, apparently) and not overly-artificial as I feared … but the peony and tuberose stole the spotlight too much for me.

I’ll try this again but it was very “meh” for me this first round. Might be nice for someone else, but doesn’t feel like me.
