I don’t have any negative feelings about him, I just haven’t found a fragrance he’s done that works for me yet. I think he and I must perceive certain aromachemicals very differently, or just have vastly different preferences.

That's possible! I do get that a lot of his stuff feels like it has the same DNA and if you don't resonate with that DNA, pretty much all of his stuff is a miss for you. For me personally, Decision, Purpose 50, Fleur du Mal, Lazulio, Ganymede, Hermann a mes Cotes me Paraissait une Ombre, Fleur Narcotique Extrait de Parfum, Le Sel d'Issey, Liquide (2022), Tilia, and Delina Exclusif are all absolutely incredible fragrances!

The notes on this one look so good. I didn’t pay attention to him until I tried Tubéreuse Astrale which is so wonderful to me (I’d love to have it but it’s just too strong for me), but since then I’ve tried a lot of his stuff and it’s amazing

So, when I first got into fragrances, I had been wearing Bleu de Chanel exclusively for a decade. This resulted in me quickly diving into the niche rabbit hole, because I wanted stuff as different a s possible from what I knew. I fell in love with Amouage and was trying everything I could get my hands on despite a limited stock in Japan. My "ball knowledge" was quite low at the time, so I allowed myself to be influenced too much and too easily by Christopher Chong purists, who felt that Reynaud Salmon was destroying Amouage and that Quentin Bisch was the encapsulation of this. I knew fragrances like 1 Million and Bad Boy which I didn't like, and Bisch was presented as this guy who makes loud, simple, boring, mass-appealing fragrances. So long story short, I made the classic mistake of judging something before actually knowing it 😂

I have Bois Imperial, and while being a ok fragrance, I don’t see my self going to it a lot, I don’t smell it much on me, probably that’s why

Aromatic smoke bomb. Opening has a bit of the citrus / bergamot touch, but the incense becomes intense, which is on brand for Amouage. There is a green quality to this. Maybe it’s the juniper. But
