Zen

I forgot how much I loved this scent the first time I sampled it. But the memories of deep, inner calmness and peace flooded over me as I took in deep whiffs.

Light, airy and minimalist unisex aromatic with gently spiced, dry woods that is perfectly blended. A whisper of a dewy rose in the opening disappears quickly but adds a slight floral sweetness throughout to the mostly linear natural scent profile with a hint of soft, green creaminess that’s a touch waxy in the dry down.

Its projection is soft and intimate but oozes an elegance that is beautiful, calming, meditative and subtlety sexy.

If I was an extremely rich person (who favoured a minimalist aesthetic that whispered quiet luxury), I would douse myself in this every morning just to do my early dawn yoga at the side of my infinity pool, in my zen garden, adorned in an impeccably tailored neutral palette, whilst my assistant stands watching, holding my phone in one hand and a glass of chilled Svalbarði Iceberg Water in the other, thinking to herself, “FML, I can’t stand this pretentious twat”.

The longevity is somewhat to be desired for the price of a bottle that provides a hushed profile (around 4hrs). But if I was extremely rich, I would care not for such concerns as to how often I needed to spray or indeed, replace a bottle.

Hence it’s 4 stars instead of 5… and me not owning a bottle of this…. yet.
