Divinely blended vanilla.

This is a gorgeous vanilla, really well made and beautifully blended. It’s a deep vanilla that leans warm and ambery but never cloying.

The patchouli was more noticeable on the opening for me but then settles. It’s delicately spiced and the tonka and benzoin bring out the boozy tones of the bourbon vanilla, but not full on booze. The osmanthus adds hints of leathery suede facets as its soft complex fruity floral emerges in the heart.

Really good stuff. I’ll happily use up the rest of the sample but know immediately that it’s not a FB for me. A unisex vanilla that leans a little too masculine for my preference for bedtime vanillas.

For context, my top contenders are Diptyque’s Eau Duelle EdT and M. Micallef’s Note Vanilée.
