White florals with a clean coastal breeze

Do Son is a beautiful white floral. Non white floral lovers might find it bold, but as someone who doesn’t mind getting slapped in the face with a white bouquet, I find it to be a delicate, fresh but present perfume that still showcases the white florals in all their glory.

Whilst tuberose and orange blossom are the notes my nose picks out the most, I also get a (not listed) gardenia that gives a floral tropical feel to the scent profile. This is not marine to me. This is a picnic in field of white flowers a mile in from the shore that carries a fresh salty breeze from the coastline. It’s a pinch of salt. In the way that sodium chloride complements chocolate or caramel. In the perfume this brings out the sweetness of the florals and yet adds depth to the scent, it cuts the sharpness in the floral leaving a fresh, crisp green tuberose that teeters flirtatiously into bubblegum territory.

For me, the opening and heart can vary on the number of sprays applied. Three, and you get a breezy, beautifully sweet bouquet. Five or more and you pick up some indoles as it transitions into the heart and notice a more prominent jasmine. Sprayers choice, I guess.

The dry down is such a pretty, clean and fresh frolick in a field of white florals, delightfully blended and rested on a beautiful, creamy and salted bed.
