Diptyque Do Son EDT

A long but fulfilling day - I'm wiped! Time for my favorite bedtime tuberose, Do Son (although Carnal Flower is creeping up the ranks).

Do Son is a realistic, indolic, incredibly heady tuberose with lots of pepper in the opening. I also get a fruity sweetness (almost like apricot) and a hint of a marine note. It makes me feel like I'm on holiday, totally blissful and relaxed. It is a linear scent, but I don't feel like that detracts from it. You definitely must be a white floral/tuberose lover to enjoy this one.

The EDT and EDP are remarkably similar for Diptyque. I would say the EDP is a touch more peppery and sits closer to the skin, so I actually prefer the EDT as it is airier and projects more. The two scents are very, very close however, and almost indistinguishable to me.

Compared to Carnal Flower, Do Son is sweeter, denser, and not nearly as green. I would say Carnal Flower is also more natural and realistic. They are different enough that I could have both, I think 😉

Do Son is one I will always have in my collection. If I had to pick only one Diptyque to keep, this would be it. My #1 favorite from the house. It brings me so much joy and peace. 10/10
