When I first got my hands on a sample of this, I really wasn’t impressed. I wrote it off after one smell, thinking that I just wouldn’t like it enough to invest in a whole bottle. Oh, how wrong I was. I love this thing. If I were impulsive, I’d say this is my #1 favorite fragrance.
The balance is immaculate. Mint shines through overtop at first, then settles down to support the amber/spices. It absolutely lasts and projects as you would hope any Amouage would, but it wouldn’t kill a sickly Victorian child with its potency (looking at you, Outlands my love).
Like basically every other Amouage, enclave is a bold wear. People will smell you, and not everyone will like it. Then again, the most agreeable fragrance is nothing at all.
