Wearing Enclave by Amouage

Woah this is a strange one. The mix of cooling mint and warming cinnamon/cardamom is quite the juxtaposition. I also get a lot of vanilla (I assume from the amber) that makes it almost candy-like. Definitely not something I would consider fresh with how spicy and sweet it is. An interesting scent, but not something I think I’d want to come back to. Amouage makes some crazy stuff, that’s for sure.

When it comes to the cool/warm contrast, I think Promise does it better. With Promise I feel like there is an oscillation between warm pink pepper and clove and the cooling rosemary and cypriol that makes it feel dynamic. With Enclave the warm and cool facets are just right on top of each other.
