This opens as a dry, cold, smokey and slightly harsh Iris that leans very masculine to my unintentionally socially conditioned nose.

As it starts to warm on my skin it really blooms and becomes a very enjoyable, intriguing Iris blend indeed that feels unisex with a masculine lean.

This reminds me of an Iris forward Black Saffron having a dalliance with Neon Garden. To my nose, the Iris sweetens in the heart and becomes a beautifully buttery and waxy orris. Theres slight mintiness mingling with the saffiano creating a ghost of a nitrile glove when I bring my nose to my skin (nitrile glove is an accord I get in Neon Garden that I just love). The smokey suede tones are fruity, smooth and soft but a little ashy, like in Black Saffron, which I also love. Theres a little hint of jammy fruit lurking here amongst some fresh, green and woody nuances, maybe cassis?

As it dries down the iris remains buttery but with a cold mineral edge rounded out with a smooth and smokey iris powder. There’s nutty earthiness here too, like a carrot seed note and a slight hint of creamy sandalwood, but not overpowering or obvious.

This scent has lasted incredibly well all day on my skin and projects a beautiful orris suede aroma, lightly smoked with subtle green nuances, that feels clean, fresh yet sultry and intriguing, an iris in a velvet smoking jacket of a wearer that’s just got out of the bath. Really well blended and beautiful stuff.
