As a RRVH (recently reformed vanilla hater) I was not expecting to like this. There’s beautiful fresh and sweet florals and vanilla. I’ve no idea what a vanilla orchid smells like irl, and none of these notes are listed but I’m getting a custard ylang vanilla in this and in the heart a very gentle hint of fresh and slightly powdery lavender and sweet freesia. Oh, and a pinch of salt. Good stuff! It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but the nose loves what the noses loves and this was a surprising love at first whiff for me. Super feminine, grown up pretty and a lick of sensuality.

    As an absolute Ylang slut, my interest is piqued! Do you know how it compares to Embruns D'Ylang, Eau Mohéli or Prada Infusion D'Ylang at all?

      I can’t give you a comparison, sorry! (Though I’ve added this to my ‘to try’ list). I’ve only whiff Prada’s Ylang in store so I don’t know it well enough to compare.

    Fellow RVH here! This one is so pretty, but my favorite in the line is Gorgeous Gardenia—it’s also sweetly floral, but in a different way.

      It’s lovely too, I actually went to whiff this one but once my nose got a whiff of Gorgeous Orchid it told me ‘THIS IS THE ONE’ 🤣

      Haha!! Ylang Ylang Custard has entered the building. Now I am panicking that it will not be ylangy enough for you 🥴 but yes, to my nose, it’s not baked good vanilla, it’s not deep vanilla or bourbon vanilla, and it’s not the floral vanilla that’s usually with lavender or mandarin.. is ylangy custard vanilla lol. I’m looking forward to hearing what you think of it, even if our noses disagree lol

    I really enjoy the is one! I would also recommend trying Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori if you like this one. I think it’s been discontinued but there are still bottles out there. So good!!

      This is lovely too.. I had to look it up, there are that many flankers it hard to keep up.. I call this the ‘Yellow Bloom’. My colleague wore this for a year, I really loved it in her.
