Forbidden Apple Croque Moi

Forbidden Apple Croque Moi is a lovely caramel apple scent. This is a lot nicer and more photorealistic to my nose than BGJ's Carousel. This is a juicy, crisp, realistic apple note that fortunately doesn't lean shampoo-y, which is a problem I seem to have often with apple. The caramel is a thin outer layer that doesn't overpower the scent and turn it into a foodie gourmand. It smells like a mild, slightly buttery brown sugar. This is quite reserved for a gourmand. I like that - not too sweet at all. The cinnamon and fenugreek are mild too, so it doesn't turn into a holiday candle scent. Everything here is very restrained and well balanced. Overall a linear scent - not much change from start to finish, though the apple does disappear eventually and it turns into a gentle caramel and vanilla scent with a hint of woodsy fir and vetiver.

Projects moderately for around 3 hours, and lasts on skin extremely well - 16 hours and a shower later, and it's still noticeable on the skin.

This is the perfect, cozy fall gourmand if you want something a bit more reserved. I think it's a beautiful perfume and the concept is executed to perfection, but I don't find it as interesting or exciting as the others by Chris Collins. I give it an 8.75/10 rating.
