AMBUSH!

Not much of one honesty— but a great fragrance that inspired an even better one.

Between Attrape-Coeur, Vol de Nuit Evasion, and the original Guet Apens, this fragrance has a serious identity crisis. It’s a seasonal limited release EDP…..a flight exclusive Guerlain…..a classic re-released?

Attrape-Coeur is a masterpiece. The idea came from Guet Apens, a first draft. Very worthy of wearing, but not the most exciting fragrance.

This fragrance is:

No distinct phases, just kind of a very extremely creamy mossy violet-y Guerlinade. It sounds nasty but it’s great. Like a trifle or something but also crème brûlée— with the counterpoint of oakmoss, amber, and violets. Fun!

I got ambushed with disappointment in the end.

NOT WORTH THE HYPE!

Attrape-Coeur is, and I have used 50mL+ of it which makes me wanna rip off my skin.
