I'll probably pick up some donuts on the way home as a treat! I guess I'm in the mood for sugar, because I felt like wearing something sweet and yummy this morning.
Honey Moon was an unexpected purchase. I was walking through Sephora and saw it was a new release, so I sniffed it, and immediately had to get a travel size. It's a delightful, floral honey and vanilla scent. The honey isn't cloying at all, and is boosted by gentle orange blossom and a cozy vanilla base with creaminess from the Tonka bean and sandalwood. The lavender in this one is very subtle. Overall, it smells more like how honey tastes rather than how honey smells - smooth and sweet, with extra complexity from subtle floral notes. It's also got this incredible buttery caramel/toffee scent that makes it even more delectable. Despite all the sugary notes, it retains a delicate airiness.
A really fantastic release from Phlur. Elena Valdivieso Ruiz is really knocking it out of the park with a lot of her recent work. Highly recommend if you're looking for a yummy, cozy, sweet-but-not-too-sweet scent.
