This might be my favorite vanilla fragrance. The sandalwood and vanilla in the base are the most prominent notes, and overall this has a very classy vanilla/Christmas candle vibe to me. Vanilla so often smells cheap and fake (looking at you, Tobacco Vanille), or it’s paired with notes that are too sweet or bright for my tastes. This doesn’t feel like a gourmand, more like a woody fragrance that brings out the vanilla/beeswax facets of wood, especially sandalwood. I’m about to go get ice cream from Salt & Straw and this is the perfect scent a double scoop on a warm summer evening.

    Great review! I’ve tried a ton of Xerjoff at Saks but they never have this one! Really want to get around to sampling it eventually.

      Thanks! Have you tried La Capitale? It reminds me of that but without the fruity notes.

      I haven’t! I’ll have to keep a look out though. I’ve seen some reviews compare it to African Leather which is one of my all time favorites. Do you find them to be similar?

      Seems like it might be similar, just minus the floral notes and leather. It reminds me of MFK Grand Soir but woodier. Spicebomb Extreme is in the same ballpark too but the Xerjoff is much higher quality.
