I miss my grandma today

And China White reminds me of her in the most visceral way I’ve ever experienced with perfume.

Powdery lilac florals, vintage cosmetics, and the warm, musky sweetness of a kitten’s fur. Ordinarily, not something I’d choose to wear, but upon the first sniff, I was transported back to her bungalow, where she lived when I was a little boy, no older than nine.

It’s hazy and glamorous, underpinned by a herbal smokiness that, to me, verges on the carnal - something sensual and bracing woven through the softness.

I love all of my bottles, but China White holds a special place in my heart.
