Spice Boozy Masterpiece

Overture is one of the most peculiar scents that represents Cumin, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Saffron and Ginger in the most clean and well-blended and presented way, is virtually impossible to do better than this with this list, the floral aspect in the opening is the backgrund very far but is there to make it sweet in the correct way, while in the evolution, this takes a bit more of the center of the stage; however, the deep characters of all those seeds make it regal, make it very serious, is clear that the prefumer has a deep knowlesge of this seeds, infact is a celebration of those iconic oriental seeds that are key elements for some of the indian or arabic deep cooked foods,

if you are asian you can clearly see the picture in your mind, we eat alot those elements in our food, and when i was a kid i used to munchy on Cardamom for fun, and even Cinnamon (wich isnt pleasant), Cumin, Cardamom, Cinnamon and the Saffron in particular create a certain feeling in the mouth and are considered the Queen sisters of spices and central for asian food, this scent really elevates that feeling to a regal stage, is masterfully done, and has to be seen as the celebration of those elements.After the opening, things settle down on the skin, which is where the magic happens imo, it becomes mystical, incense-y, and leatherish, a banger of a combo. It's mastery of perfumery on display, unfolding in front of you. I don't think it's mass appealing, and that's a great thing.

This is for someone who knows how powerful they are with a strong character and, well, put, a mature man with some great knowledge, imo on a mature woman would work super well. You know the person wearing this deserves respect even without talking to him, so it could be a signature scent used in a smart way. Is basically a cheat code if you dress well and you are with Overture. Some will be scared by the spices, but in reality, it will feel this way if you have no experience with them, and this animalic note that everyone talks about is nothing but imagination, if this scent is offensive (sweaty) to your nose, it means that you are not ready, or you don't know the existence of spices. Stop wasting your time.You may realize how hard it is to blend all these primary seeds together and make something with depth and seriousness. It takes 6 weeks alone to age the scent, and this says a lot about how much they care.

This goes beyond that, showing that passion and experience can make anything happen if you really care. After some hesitation for the price, I got it as my second Amouage, as it was impossible to not own it after I wrote all this, a scent that demands respect, if you know, you know.
