I had been patiently waiting for this decant to settle a bit before cracking into it, and here we are, first smells of one I have been very excited to try. DROOLING.

The most elegant, polished patchouli. Smooth, clean-yet-earthy, a hint of divine powdery Guerlain iris, and yes, I'm getting a slight hint of chocolatey-sweetness to round it all out. This just catapulted to my second-fav Guerlain.

It's giving chic Parisian (man or woman) in effortlessly-tailored jeans, crisp white shirt, and perfect wool trench coat hitting a farmers market on a clear autumn weekend (I want to be them).

      There are a couple others from L’Art & La Matière line that I still want to try, but yeah. This just went to the top of my wishlist. I know I’ll be flying through Duty Free next month (if I can wait that long), but the free personalization buying direct from Guerlain is tempting (your bottles give me major envy, lol).

      I know, they know what they do with the personalized bottles because they’re so tempting 😫 I got mine at Neiman last year during their Black Friday sale for about 340usd~, and then I got Angelique Noire personalized with the red cord and red fake croc leather cap, and I exchanged them because they looked better. You can look on my feed how I have them now. I also have SDV and Oud Nude with the name on the back and I love them, but especially Oud Nude because it has the cursive font

      Just saw your check-in! It’s terrific. My fav Guerlain will probably always be Iris Pallida Extrait 6 but I will likely never shell out for a bottle of that 🤷‍♀️ Angélique is high on the list, too.

      Gosh, yeah, I hadn't thought of the Extraits. Iris Pallida was my clear favourite, even with liking every single one of them.
