I smelled this again recently, and unfortunately the newest formulation is just not too great I'm afraid. Smells nothing like it used to. Platinum Egoiste is one of my favorites too

Yeah that is an issue with reformulations, I managed to get a sample of an old bottle, this is as good as discontinued. Such a good scent, people love it and these IFRA regulations just cripple everything

I can't speak for Platinum Égoïste's power to attract the opposite sex in the early-90s, but even today it remains the kind of clean and inoffensive masculine scent that nobody's going to wrinkle
