      I will be starting a book called Long Distance that a travel friend recommended at my hostel when I was traveling. But I just finished the Neapolitan Quartet by Elena Ferrante which was amazing. I loved all the books in it, highly recommend it, at least just reading the first book. Are you reading anything atm?

      Oh, cool! I have My Brilliant Friend on my 2026 reading list. I’m between two books at the moment: Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell and Liars by Sarah Manguso. The latter is such an infuriating read 😁

      You should definitely check it out whenever you get the time, it’s such a good read! Probably my favorite book ever. And I’ll check those out too, especially Liars seems like something I’d enjoy. I love reading recs, it’s the best way for me to find new stuff because otherwise I don’t go looking for it haha.

      Uh this one is amazing! It was my first time trying shalimar and it was blind buy but I was very pleasantly surprised (my favorite release from last year). It’s a vanilla that starts off with some bergamot and has some incense slowly coming in and settles into a powdery scent. The iris is very present on the dry down, so smooth. It has the Shalimar dna present for sure but it is softer and more tamed. Every time I apply it I like a lot more and the longevity is great! I mostly wear it in 25-30c weather and I like it, but I can imagine it’s better in the fall/winter. How was yesteryear?

      They’re soo good, especially in the afternoon/evening when I don’t want anything with milk. I use the fever tree tonics and just do the coffee with my moka pot, so it’s very easy to have them at home

      I think some books that have helped me get out of a reading slump have been by Donna Tart, so the Goldfinch and the Secret History. I wanna recommend My Brilliant Friend which is mentioned a lot here but it is such a heavy read at some points 😅

    I have never heard of an espresso tonic? Is this like an espresso martini?

      Noo, I wish haha, so it is a bottle of tonic water like the fever tree ones and a shot or two of espresso. I love it, especially because the tonic water gives it a tiny bit of sweetness + carbonation. And a fruity light roast coffee mixes well with the flavored tonic waters, highly recommend it if you like coffee and carbonated stuff

      Uh let me know if you ever do! I love lattes but I also love any coffee variation that has no milk (and black coffee as well). Another favorite is an orange espresso, but I don’t drink them often because of the acidity 😅
