       Its hard for me to describe because Shalimar has been in my life for so long.. but I’ll try.. It’s a lighter, sweeter and sparkling version of Shalimar. It still has that vintage vanilla feel to it. To my nose it opens with an iris and tonka accord but then moves very quickly into Shalimar land were the notes are all blended exquisitely together with a leathery and animalic tone to a deep, dried fruits and iris rose floral vanilla blend with a soft spiciness to it. As it starts to settle it becomes a smokey and powdery dried fruit vanilla that still sparkles, it’s only here as your skin warms that the vanilla becomes deeper and bourbony, but still retaining the vanilla Guerlainade.
