Shalimar Millesime Rose

Millesime Rose opens with a smooth, rich blend of almond, luxurious Guerlain vanilla, gentle incense, and a hint of rose water. It is intoxicating from first sniff! I also get a delightful fruity note that reads like juicy raspberry - it may be the bergamot plus the rose? Anyways, this opening is stunning.

It dries down to a velvety rose, vanilla and incense scent with a hint of powder and patchouli. It is so well blended and silky smooth throughout. The patchouli is not a dirty or earthy one, and is mellow and almost a bit cocoa-like here, lending a welcome depth to the scent.

Projection is moderately strong for 3-4 hours, but I still get wafts 6-7 hours in. It lasts over 20 hours on my skin, and it isn't faint at the end either. Very good performance on this one.

This is such a gorgeous, modern, and approachable take on the Shalimar DNA. It is versatile and wearable and would shine in any temperature except the very hottest weather. I rate this one a 10/10!
