Disappointing thus far

Granted, it's 110F (~43C) where I live and I just let this cool off before giving it a first sniff. I got a beautiful whiff of violets which were quickly TRAMPLED by super ambers so strong it singed my nose hairs. Quite leathery ambers too which I generally don't enjoy. About 30 minutes in they're finally mellowing out. I'm getting some sesame and the vetiver is peeking through. But the super ambers used in this were so strong I feel a bit sick. Will try again tomorrow and in a few days but so far, this is feeling like something made by a clone house and not the quality I've come to expect from DVN. I don't like all their scents, but I could still appreciate the artistry and quality even in the ones that weren't for me. This? I'm not sure I get it.

      MOTHER, YOU'RE BACK!!! 🎉 Oh my, my stomach is still churning! I'm normally for IES, cetalox, orcanox, ambroxan (REASONABLY used) but I hate whatever they used in this. I'm pretty sure Givaudan makes DVN fragrances. Spirambrene maybe? It's gawdawful

      I’m back. 🙌We went on a vacation and I’m still recovering from travel. Same. If they tempered and well blended I do okay. That damn velvet amber (because no violet to speak of) was on my skin AFTER A SHOWER the next morning. 😫
