Either the marketing really works, or someone has NAILED an accord I didn't know existed: aquarium. It is exactly the impression of the wall of an exotic pet shop, humid and dim, with rows and rows of tanks, fluorescent lights, algae, and foam rubber mats. It's unexpectedly wearable because the notes are rearranged to be more forgiving. Algae is a background note. Florals soften the overall feel. Hints of cumin and mint help faithfully reproduce that distinctive smell of a fish tank, though vetiver adds a soapy note. The opening has gray sea salt. You know those perfume ads of barechested ragazzi posing on beaches and yachts? This is a perfume for the tired unsunned office intern working through summer to pay for marine biology school.

    I love this review.. though it’s giving flashbacks of the whiffs associated with my kids goldfish bowl. Buuutt, aquariums have proper filters, so I’m hoping Seahorse is not as stanky as that? Either way, I’m still intrigued to get my nose in this.

      It's so weird, it's instantly recognizable but does not hit "stank" levels

      It's that smell but as a perfume, haha. The soft florals kind of tone down any stank potential. It's very nice.

    I think Seahorse is one of the 5 out of about 40 Zoologist scents that I like. I went through all of them when I had a discovery set. To me, it was a mass appealing aquatic green fragrance. Very safe and not challenging at all.
