If you had to choose one Chanel Exclusif perfume, which one would you go for and why?

I've a friend who works for chanel and I'm very lucky to be getting to choose a 75ml from Les Exclusifs at a discount... but I'm struggling to decide!! I'd love something fairly versatile and that I'd actually wear often. My faves I've tried so far, but probably won't be able to get a tester of again before I order:

1957 31 Rue Cambon Gardénia Beige Boy 1932

Am also considering Coromandel and Sycomore because I feel like I should/could like those (even if a sniff on paper wasn't an immediate love!).

Outside of Les Exclusifs, I really like Gabrielle and the regular Coco perfume.

Sidenote: recently tried No5 for the first time in about twenty years and was very pleasantly surprised. (Ditto, tested Mademoiselle Crush Absolute and enjoyed that!)

    Probably Sycomore if you like dry woods. I voted 1957 from this list though.

    My personal favourites are Coromandel and Le Lion. They're not NOT versatile, but have a certain opulence that you may not find suitable for everyday wear. 1957 is a beautiful powdery laundry musk - that would be my choice for versatility.

      I second your top two. I think Coromamdel is a bit more versatile than Le Lion but still not a safe choice. But it is the one I would pick.

      Agreed! I could daily Coromandel (although I would actually choose Richwood) - I just find that creamy-patch profile so easy to wear, albeit not for everyone. Le Lion is certainly the more bombastic scent, and to me, needs cooler weather to shine.

      I could also wear it all the time. (It would fight with Angelique noire for wear time). And, I agree that the Xerjoff is a better choice for a hint more of a masculine vibe

    31 Rue from the options but Sycomore is the only one I ever purchased ! When they first released I went to rodeo and had a spiritual experience with that !

    For versatility, I’d say Rue or 1957. Rue is a bit warmer and softly sweet (but not sugary) and 1957 is so sexy musky (I think it has something like 11 different musks in there?). Both are good all year round, day and evening. They have just enough presence for evening, and EVERY Exclusif smells classy!!

    I must be the only one voting for Beige! I just find it so clean and elegant. I also love Gabrielle and Coco.

      I found it really lovely, soft and elegant. Very accessible and wearable, prob was one of my faves but the only hesitation I have is that it doesn't last long and feels a very light fragrance, so for the price it doesn't pack much of a punch (*though does it need to?)

      Totally agree. I couldn’t justify the price for it being ..mmm.. such a normal, everyday scent? Even though I can’t stop thinking about it lol. Which is why if I got a chance to pick one for free, it would be this lol. But, you’re getting a discount, so you’re likely still palming bills for this.
