Essence of Casablanca is one of those fragrances that smells rich from the very beginning. On my skin, I get this juicy, almost syrupy fruitiness from the apple and grapes. I’m normally not a fan of grape in fragrances at all, but here it’s done so right. It doesn’t come across artificial or overly candy-like. Instead, it blends beautifully into the fragrance and gives it this lush sweetness. As it settles, it becomes warmer, smoother and deeper. The vanilla and amber start coming through and give it this beautiful sweetness that feels almost golden to me. There’s something about it that makes me feel put together and a little luxurious when I wear it. It’s sweet and inviting, but there’s enough depth underneath to make it feel elegant rather than playful. It’s the kind of scent I keep catching on myself throughout the day and thinking, “God, I smell good.”
