I’ve never done this before! They have 3 levels of oils based on top, heart, and base notes. They choose 6 from each level. You blind choose the one you like from the top and middle (you just smell, and don’t look at notes). For the base notes, you choose 2 and they mix 2 different blends, you test, and choose.

I ended up with something that’s probably redundant to my collection but also my reaction to it sealed the deal. I really wanted something that memorialized this very special trip to Curacao where I got engaged. Photos and notes included!

PS I’ll never turn away from my obvious love of Iris…

How did your scent turn out? I did a perfume making workshop last month and I loved it! The one I did was a different process, but a lot of fun. My scent turned out great, and so did my friends’.

  In classic me fashion, I gravitated towards fruity florals with a dash of iris in the drydown. The powdery iris balances out the tropical fruitiness I am enchanted by. It’s light, but very pretty!
