No, I'm with you. It's irritating to pay so much for a fragrance and not have some guarantee of (relative) consistency between batches. I've always found it super weird that Creed gets away with it, Aventus seemingly the worst offender. My tinfoil hat conspiracy theory is that this is intentional, and just another way to make more money given the popularity of the fragrance. They're so different between batches, some are like a different flanker.

Exactly!! Glad I’m not just going crazy. The difference between these is large enough that if you told me it was a flanker I’d believe you. At least this scent is popular enough that I can sell and get some of my money back easily if I want, but I almost feel bad selling when I now know how different the scents are from bottle to bottle/batch to batch.

The school I'm currently working at in Hokkaido is a bit sensitive to fragrances, so I thought light sprays of this would go well. No issues! I haven't really been in the mood for this DNA lately

Absolu Aventus is just gorgeously fucking handsome. Smoky pineapple is the main experience I get throughout, with some citrus and spice up top before it settles into a darker, woody drydown.
